Need to be Finished

So, I have not really been busy making new things the past couple of days. I actually did some school work and tried to get a good bit done so I didn't have to cram at the last minute.

I am, however, going through some of my older work and trying to figure out what is finished and what I can list. Since I have to rework most of the items already listed in my Artfire studio, I decided to just go slowly and as I work them, add them to my Etsy shop.

So, yeah, about half of my items got ganked up in Artfire and have to be reshot and then I need to tweek the descriptions to my new format. I don't know why the majority of my photos vanished but that has to be fixed as well. Some items are just going to be torn apart and made into other things.

I do have some pieces that I started and never got around to finishing, like this Malcolm Reynolds browncoat bracelet. I am still debating on whether or not to put a pony charm on it and call it "Dear Buddha...".

Then there is this River Tam piece which I am honestly not sure if I can finish it. I made a Helm weave bracelet with some of the rings from this color blend and now am not entirely sure there will be enough in the certain colors to finish this. If I could find my ballet shoe charms I could always do earrings...

Those are my current "need to finish" items. I still need to make a supply list and project lineup. That may come tomorrow, or at least a portion of it.

Finished Projects 1-19-12

So I finished a couple of projects today. The beaded bracelet that I started yesterday is done, and looking pretty good if I don't say so myself. Hopefully, I can get good photos of it soon and get it listed.

The next thing I did was to work on some earrings. They are very simple. Just a Swarovski circle and a Swarovski crystal beaded ball. Simple but yet elegant.

Really hoping to be able to get a couple of nice days to get photos of some other pieces that have been made for a while but never listed. I have Phoenix earrings, Sun earrings, more Swarovski earrings, a Rosary, a Pendulum, and more. I have such a backlog of things that need to go up. But at least it will keep me busy for a while.

Work in Progress 1-18-12

So I have been working on a new bracelet and so far it is going pretty well. Here is the current progress.

It is a 2 toned European 4-1 in light blue and a brighter "peacock" blue. The seed beads are about the same shade as the light blue rings which make up the middle "spine" of the weave.

Upcoming projects:
*Alice in Wonderland*
For this, I am going to tear apart the current piece and rework it into a better and more whimsical necklace. I am planning a Helm or a Wave Helm weave with a cluster of Swarovski's and a possible charm.

*Chained Shoulder Dusters*
I worked on a new necklace last night and need to make matching earrings for it. These are going to be black chains of varying lengths with the longest pieces dangling to the shoulder. This should be a really amazing piece that I can not wait to unveil!

Just Finished 1-17-12

So, I finally got a chance to finish up a choker project I was working on. It's a Gothic Bow Choker.
All in all, it is anodized aluminum rings in black and purple. The photo does not do it justice. Since it was night when I finished it, I had to use the flash.

So, now that this is finished, I get to start on a supply list for some other that are just poking around the back of my head. So what do I have in mind...

Planned Projects:
1. Tie Necklace
2. Beaded Barrel Weave Bracelet

Rework Projects:
1. Alice In Wonderland Necklace

So, yeah, I have a good chunk on my plate. This is only a portion of what I have planned but I am not really sure what direction I am going with some of the ideas. I will still need a supply haul to even begin most of these projects.

I think the only one that I could actually start with what I have on hand would be the Barrel because I need the thinner 19 gauge enameled copper rings that I currently have on hand. I may start that today if I can find what I did with my seed beads...
